Yakir Rettig, operating as Order Daemon (“we”, “us”, or “our”), is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use our website orderdaemon.com (the “Website”) and our Order Daemon software (the “Software”). Our policy is designed to be transparent and to comply with applicable data protection laws, including the GDPR.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information only for the purpose of providing and improving our services.

  • Information You Provide to Us:
    • Purchase Information: When you purchase our Software, we collect your name, email address, and billing information to process your order and create your account.
    • Support & Contact: When you contact us for support or through our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and the content of your message so we can assist you.
  • Information We Collect Automatically:
    • Transaction Data: We record transaction details related to a customer’s purchase history.
    • License Data: To validate and provide updates for the Software, we collect the site URL where the license key is activated.
    • Website Analytics: We collect non-personally-identifying information such as browser type, language preference, and the date and time of each visitor request to better understand how visitors use our Website.

Important: We do not collect or store your credit card information. This information is handled exclusively and securely by our third-party payment gateways.

3. How and Why We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes and on the following legal bases:

  • To Fulfill Our Contract: We process your personal data to process your transactions, deliver the Software license key, create and manage your account, and validate your license.
  • For Our Legitimate Interests:
    • To provide you with customer support and answer your inquiries.
    • To improve our Website and Software offerings by analyzing usage data.
    • To protect our services from fraud and unauthorized use.
  • With Your Consent: To send you marketing communications about Software updates and new features. You may opt-out of these communications at any time.

4. Data Storage and International Transfers

To provide the highest level of data protection for our international customers, we have implemented the following infrastructure:

  • Data Hosting: All of our website data, including your personal information, is hosted on servers located in Germany, within the European Union.
  • International Access: Our business is based in Israel. The European Commission has officially recognized Israel as providing an adequate level of data protection. This “adequacy decision” means that when we access your data from Israel (for instance, to provide customer support), that data is protected to a standard equivalent to GDPR.

5. Who We Share Your Data With

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We only share information with the following trusted third-party service providers (sub-processors) who perform essential services on our behalf.

  • Infrastructure and Hosting Providers:
    • Hetzner: Our website and customer data are hosted on servers provided by Hetzner Online GmbH. Their physical data centers are located in Germany, ensuring your data is stored within the European Union.
    • Boundless Zone: Our managed WordPress hosting partner. They manage the software, security, and performance of our website environment on the Hetzner infrastructure.
    • Cloudflare, Inc.: We use Cloudflare for security and performance optimization. They provide a security firewall, protection against malicious activity (like DDoS attacks), and a Content Delivery Network (CDN) that speeds up website access for our global users.
  • Payment Gateways:
    • CreditGuard & PayPal: To securely process your payments. When you make a purchase, your payment data is sent directly to them. We do not collect or store your full credit card information on our servers.
  • Analytics and Business Operations:
    • Google: We use Google services for two main purposes:
      • Google Analytics: To understand website traffic and user behavior, helping us improve our website. We configure this to anonymize data where possible.
      • Google Workspace: For our internal business email (hello@orderdaemon.com). When you communicate with us via email, your correspondence is processed and stored within Google’s infrastructure.
  • Email Service Providers: To send you required transactional emails (like purchase receipts and renewal notices) and marketing communications you have consented to.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services. We may also retain data to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements (e.g., for tax and accounting purposes).
